Bayonne Etche-Ona de Bordeaux
Saint-Emilion
If you’d rather explore the land than the seaside or you’ve just taken part in our” Discovery Day of The Bay of Arcachon”, there’s no doubt that you’ll be enchanted by our “Exploring Saint Emilion” activity.
35 km from our hotel in Bordeaux, discover an architectural jewel in the midst of an exceptional vineyard.
The village of Saint Emilion has been classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Discover all the exceptionally rich history and architecture of this unique site in the heart of the Saint Emilion vineyard. The Tourist Office of the village organises comprehensive guided tours of the village. After walking around the village, and admiring the amazing view from the top of the bell tower of the monolithic church,(196 steps!), you can have a drink and explore the old Commanderie, Porte Brunet, a historic feature, the perfect setting for tasting Le Crémant de Bordeaux, and some macaroons made in Saint Emilion, quite different from those made in the Basque Country, but equally delicious!
You could then make an appointment to visit one or two wineries. While tasting, you’ll meet the passionate professionals who have created this nectar! The best way to get there is by car. If you don’t have one, we can hire a chauffeur on your behalf. He will drive you around all day long. We remain at your disposal to help you organise this day or half day outing, and prepare a quote depending on your choices and the number of people participating in the outing. ( group or individual tariff).
To book one of our stays, we invite you to reserve your room beforehand. For more information or to organize your day, the team of the Best Western Premier Hotel Bayonne Etche-Ona in Bordeaux is at your disposal.
