Discover the hotel business in Bordeaux 🤗 🛎
Today, we propose you to know a little more about the Receptionist’s job. To do so, we went to interview for you Maria, Receptionist at the Best Western Premier Bordeaux Bayonne Etche-Ona hotel since 2019. Why start with this job? We believe that when a client enters a hotel, what first attracts his attention is the lobby, then the smile of the person who welcomes him.
“Hello Maria!
Hello 😊
> Obviously, you’re happy to be in this important position.
Loving people and knowing how to adapt , without a doubt, these are the most important skills. You have to be curious to take an interest in the people you welcome so that you can respond intelligently to their needs, while always remaining discreet. Availability and organization are also two qualities that are highly appreciated in our profession.

> How do you accompany customers? To inform them about the hotel or to make a reservation for a cab, a restaurant, a visit or a show, for example?
Communication (before, during or even after a stay) is an essential part of our job; whether it is with customers to find out their needs and expectations, but also with our privileged partners who accompany us during the stay of all our customers.
> What extra touch do you bring to a hotel such as HBEO?
Personalization. Each person is unique, and so should our welcome. 😊
> What specific procedures have you set up since the Covid-19 outbreak at the level of Reception and customer reception?
We strictly apply the sanitary rules : physical distance, wearing of the mask is compulsory in the common areas and a bottle of hydroalcoholic gel is available at the Reception and on each floor. We maintain a privileged communication with our clients to inform and reassure them. Cleanliness, in a comfortable and welcoming environment, has always been our priority, before or after the Covid-19.
> Thank you very much Maria for these sincere answers, which will touch travellers, whether they are staying in Bordeaux for leisure or work 😉”
